I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to practice dentistry here in Kirkland for so many years.
While I’ve always enjoyed the technical aspect of my work, the relationships I’ve created with my patients are what have truly made this a fulfilling career. I love watching children grow up into healthy, happy adults, and then bring their own children in to see me. It makes our office truly like a family.
I attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry and earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1981.
Since graduating, I have expanded my knowledge and training in new and innovative dental procedures. Continuing education helps keep me abreast of what is new and evolving in dentistry and medicine. I feel that the more knowledge my staff and I have, the better the service we can provide for our patients.
Gwen and I have been married for nearly 40 wonderful years. We are proud parents of two successful sons, Ron and Wes. Ron graduated with a business degree from Seattle University and now works at our office in Bridle Trails. Wes, on the other hand, graduated at the top of his class from dental school in 2017 and now practices in Bellevue and with me at Bridle Trails. It brings us immense joy to be able to work alongside our kids every day.
Our family is not just limited to the four of us, as we also have three dogs and several koi fish in our pond. Taking care of our furry and fishy friends brings us great joy and keeps us busy in our free time.
Speaking of which, when we’re not working, Gwen and I enjoy various sports like tennis, windsurfing, hiking, and cycling. It’s important for us to stay active and fit, and these activities allow us to spend quality time together while doing something we love. We also value our time spent with friends, as well as traveling to different places to create lasting memories.
Along with our personal pursuits, we feel a strong sense of responsibility towards giving back to our community. We are fortunate enough to be able to donate to various charities and also volunteer our time to provide dental care to those in need. We believe in the importance of helping others and ensuring that everyone has access to proper healthcare for a healthy and happy life.
As we look back on our journey together, we feel blessed for the love and support of our family and friends. Our shared values of hard work, compassion, and giving back have brought us closer as a family and continue to guide us in our personal and professional lives. We are grateful for the life we have built together and look forward to many more years of joy, love, and laughter.
Not only am I thrilled to be back in the Pacific Northwest, where I was born and raised, but I’m also honored to the have the opportunity to work with and learn from my father, Dr. Russell Nomi.
While I’ve always enjoyed the technical aspect of my work, it has been especially rewarding working with our staff, and getting to know the patients that have made this practice what it is today. Every day one of our patients shares a memory of me throughout the years, making them truly feel like a family to me.
I attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2017.
Since graduating at the top of my class, I have continued to educate myself and learn new techniques and skills to practice dentistry using the most modern technologies available. Continuing education allows me to provide the best quality of care and information to my patients.
As a Bellevue native, It has been incredible to return home after so many years out of state.
Outside the office, I am very active and enjoy golfing, skiing, backpacking, wake surfing, and staying fit. I spend a lot of time with family, friends, and my dog, Nobu. Also, I am glad to be back supporting Seattle Sports!
